Pitru Paksha Importance, Pitru Dosh Remedies and Effects

Story behind Pitru Paksha and what is the significance of it?
When Kunti Putra Karna died and his soul departed to heaven, instead of food he got gold ornamanents, gold,silver,pearl to eat when he asked god why is this happening, then god replied when you were alive you never donated food
for your ancestors. Karna realized his mistakes, he said as I wasn’t aware
about my ancestors so it happend due to that. But now I am ready to rectify my mistakes and please give me an opportunity to rectify it. Upon his request god sent Karna to Prithvi Lok and where he performed the duties and donate the food.
During that time when he perfomed it was the 16 days which today known as Pitru Paksha and these days are paying respect to our ancestors, perfoming tarpan, pind daan, anna daan etc. to get their blessings and help them to achieve liberation.
When a person perform these duties he get good results in his life, if have any pitru dosha in Kula or Family it gets eliminate with the help of these remedies.
There is a place in Bihar, which is very famous for Pind Daan known as Gaya or Bodh Gaya. These pilgrims site is important for both Hindu and Buddhist. As the name suggest the Bodh Gaya name given due to the Lord Buddha who enlighted in Gaya whereBuddha did a tapasya under a bodhi tree. And due to this lot of foreigners and chinese, buddhist people visit the Buddha Temple in Bodh Gaya.
For Hindu, we have different reason for the importance of Gaya in Garud Puran also Gaya’s importance given. Lord Vishnu Foot imprinted on the Gaya and so its consider that all types of souls gets liberation, salvation in Gaya. Any departed souls are suffering in Pret, Pisach yoni etc. would get mukti once their family/son/daughter performs tarpan, pind daan at Gayaji. If one can’t afford to do pind daan and he/she just reach to the Gaya and pray to god still the ancestors get mukti and the person who pray or do pinda daan get huge blessing of their ancestors.
Lord Ram Sita performed Pind-daan at Gaya Dham.
Even the Lord Ram and Sita Mata performed pind daan for King Dasharath (Father of Lord Ram) at gaya dham, however this was done by Sita Mata due to the unavailablity of Lord Ram and so the daughters got have right to do pind daan at gayaji.
Any soul stuck between this yonis wait for their childrens/family for help , but when people who ignores such situations they get pitru dosh activated in their life and keep suffering through out life. This is the most sacred karma and Puja one can do in their life as its gives all those souls from 7th generation of father and 4th generation of mother will achieve the mukti.
If anyone has pitra dosh they should do this, however if one don’t have pitra dosh and still perform this for their deceased parents,siblings or near dear ones they get huge amount of blessings. Very few and the people who are with good karma can do this.
Pitru Dosh Remedies :
- White cooked rice and cow ghee mix well and feed to crows in pitru paksh or each amawasya.
- Feed crows on every saturday.
- Feed poor old needy people on amawasya and whenever possible.
- Donate milk and banana,Dakshina(money) to Brahman on amawasya. If possible add some groceries, ghee, veggies, white sweet.
When to perform
- Time Do it after sunrise.
- No Daan should be given after sunset.
Signs of Pitru Dosh
Finance issues, loss in business, sudden loss in any undertakings, fights, enemies, depression, long term disease, mental issues anyone in family, disturbed life, accidents, suicide, sudden death in family, unnatural death in family, unstable job career, no marriage, divorced. (These are the major signs however similar things could happen due to bad planetary positions in birth chart) So one should get correct it with remedies to lead happy life.
